The Stripling Warriors as Types of Christ

In what ways were the stripling warriors types of Christ?

  • They were men of truth and soberness.
  • They were true at all times to whatever they were entrusted with.
  • They obeyed every command with exactness.
  • They observed to keep the commandments, statutes, and judgments of the Lord continually.
  • They cared more for others’ well-being than they did about their own lives.
  • They did for their fathers what their fathers could not do for themselves (fight) because of covenant.
  • They were essentially proxies, willing to suffer and die that others might live.
  • They received many wounds.
  • Fainting with the loss of blood and then reviving again was a type and shadow of Christ’s death and resurrection, and their preservation was acknowledged to be miraculous by all who witnessed it.

By the way, this happens to be my 700th post for this blog.  I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has stuck with me this long as I continue to babble on about scriptures that interest me!  Hopefully I'll be able to crank out at least another 700!
